Hello!
It sounds like you’re trying to create a Custom Menu.
There’s quite a few steps to set that up so I’ll kindly refer you to the support doc: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/If some details are still not clear, let us know!

It sounds like you want to add category links to your main menu. The trick with that is that you need to create the categories first and then add them to your menu.
Here’s what I would recommend:
1. Go to https://ellianikaguimont.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category and add some categories
2. Then go to https://ellianikaguimont.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php and delete all of the menu items except “Home Page” then select “Categories” on the left and add back whatever categories you want.
3. Once the menu looks good to you, check the “Primary Menu” box under “Menu Settings” at the bottom of the custom menu and then click the “Save Menu” button
Note that the categories will be empty at first, but as soon as you create posts using the categories you setup they will start appearing in the category pages automatically.
