How to make my site live from .com/wp636/ to .com
-
I have a site that is example.com/wp636/. I had a lot of trouble after changing the sites url etc and lost dashboard access. I managed to get a hold of hosting details and fixed that and the client was desperate to have the site “live” so I changed the .htaccess file in public_html to go to wp636/index.php to make them think it was live and keep them happy. So now I have to fix it properly. In my public-html file I have
Bcg
cgi-bin
wp207
wp285226
wp636
.htaccess
index.htm
Very first visit to example.com stays that way in the address bar but every other navigation from there has the wp636 in it.
Can anyone please help? -

The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
