How to Make My WordPress Blog Multilingual for Global Readers
-
Hi everyone,
I’m currently working on a blog that shares secret menus, deals, and coupons for popular fast-food chains like Long John Silver’s.
You can check out my site here: https://www.longjohnsilversmenu.us
I want to make my content available in languages other than English so readers from different countries can easily access and understand it. I’m using the free plan on WordPress.com, and I’m not sure what the best way is to make my blog multilingual.
I’d love any advice on:
- How to add multiple languages to my existing posts
- Whether there are any free or built-in tools available on WordPress.com
- Best practices for reaching a global audience
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hey! I love what you’re doing with the blog — secret menus and deals are always fun to discover!
Since you’re on the free WordPress.com plan, options for multilingual features are a bit limited. But here’s a simple way to get started:
– You can manually translate your posts and create separate versions in other languages. Then link them together with flags or a small language menu so visitors can easily switch.
If you decide to upgrade later, plugins like Polylang or TranslatePress make things a lot easier.
Let me know if you need a hand with anything — happy to help!
