How to make my wordpress.com site viewable on mobile devices
-
Hi:
I was just wondering if there was a way to make my site viewable on mobile devices. In the Customize section, I clicked on the mobile icon and I noticed just a couple of things. One, the masthead and the footer doesn’t continue. It stops midway. Two, the copyright symbol changed to “0a9.”
However, I noticed more issues when I typed in my wordpress link into my smartphone:
It doesn’t show the box shadows that I have and one of the boxes is higher than the other two. On the boxes, the text-shadows in the “About Me,” “My Statement,” and “Please Note” are not showing up either. Also, in my portfolio, on page 4, the caption is on top of the images and on page 7, the first 7 graphics isn’t showing up.
I’m not sure if there’s anything that can be done from the smartphone point of view but I just wanted to point this out.
Everything is fine on my computer view, I’m talking about the view on my phone. I probably won’t use my site on my phone too much but it would be good to have. Is there a way to fix these issues for the mobile view without messing up the codes for my computer view? Thank you.

Triton Lite is not a responsive width theme so it doesn’t adjust for screen/browser window size. For fixed width themes such as Triton Lite, You can activate the mobile theme at Appearance > Mobile and see what your site looks like on your phone. Most of the styling will be stripped out.
You may want to look at the Responsive Width themes on the Theme Showcase to see if there is one that will work for you.
One note though is that with the three boxes on the main page of your site being done as divs in the page content, some media queries are going to be required so that they don’t get so narrow as to be unreadable on smaller devices.
