how to make 'open in new window' the default for all links
-
I compose my posts in Word. I use many references. I want those links to open in a new tab/window ALWAYS.
As it is now, I have to edit every link in my post to check the box.
How can I make that setting (open in new window) the default for all links in my posts so that I will not have to edit them manually? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Instructions on creating links is found in Links.
A word of caution, it is a violation of web standards and web accessibility (equal access and ADA in the United States) in many countries including the United States to force a link to open without warning in another window or tab. This applies to professional, business, non-profit, and government websites. Fines in the United States are high.
Research has proven repeatedly over the past two decades that forcing links to open in a new window or tab frustrates users and does not work for the usability or functionality of the site. People don’t like it. I’ve been in this business for 30 years and only found one reason to use this technique and that is when presenting educational material that must be viewed while reading the article. That’s very rare.
If you choose to go forward, you will have to check the box and add something like the following to the link:
Links (opens in new window) or Links (clicking link leaves the site)
I don’t make the rules, I just follow them, and I thought you should know before moving forward with this.

Thanks for the reply.
I was hoping for an answer, but I was able to deduce from your reply that the answer is probably negative – what I am asking for is not possible. My links are always references, links to definitions of terms, etc.
My early posts did not have it.
I was ASKED by my readers to do it this way but WordPress is not making it very convenient.
I just have to live with it, I guess.
