How to make portfolio visible?
-
Hello WordPress world,
It’s my first time using WordPress but I have been using computers since 1989, so I’m not a novice user. I have also used many template sites to build my online portfolio, so the concept is not foreign to me.
That being said, I am unable to view my portfolio projects on my site UNLESS I type in the entire URL with /portfolio at the end of it. When it appears, it appears in ARCHIVES (what?!). This will not do. I need my site to look like the template I chose — SNAPS — which showcases the projects below the main image.
I selected the ENABLED box in the portfolio section of my dashboard, so where on my site is it???? What am I doing wrong??????
Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

I read WordPress’s support page for Portfolios, which confirmed what you’ve seen occur:
“…portfolios are displayed automatically at the address http://yourgroovysite.wordpress.com/portfolio”
So perhaps you could embed your portfolio projects within posts that will show up on your front page? Here’s a link showing how to do that:
Hope this helps!

@madison480 – You can also learn more about setting up and using your chosen theme, Snaps, here: https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/snaps/
