how to make posts appear shorter

  Hi,

  My posts are usually long, I would like to have them appearing shorter on my page and then readers can click on “read full text” (or something like that to read the whole post).

  Also how can I have the list of all my post appear on the left hand side so readers can easier find the post they need ?

  To split content in your posts so only an excerpt and a read more link appears on the front page of the blog, where all posts are showcased, you insert “the more tag”. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

  In Bueno the sidebar is on the right hand side. if you want a sidebar on the left hand side you could choose another theme http://wordpress.com/themes/
