How to make posts flow from one to the next
-
Greetings, newbie here. I have posted 2 so far and wondered why they don’t flow one after the other. When I read other blogs, I see the newest post first on their home page, then I scroll down and I see older posts all the way down to the bottom, until I see a “next” button.
Perhaps the free version of wordpress.com doesn’t offer this?
I’m not sure how to fix this?
I can click on “April” archives for example and I do see my 2 posts, but only a summary of them, the viewer would have to click to see the full post. My setting is set to “full page” vs summary.
Any help would be appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We set the number of posts to disaply on the main page for posts in the blog here > Settings > Reading
Blog pages show at most __ posts
We cannot set a different number to display on tags pages, categories pages, or Archives pages. When we publish a post it automatically displays on tags, categories and Archives pages and we cannot edit what’s displayed or the number of items displayed. In the majority of themes, posts on category or other archive pages show up just as they do on the main posts page. But in some themes only the beginnings of posts are shown, and in a few themes you only get titles or thumbnails. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/full-posts-in-archive-pages/

Are you referring to this setting on this page? > Settings > Reading
Syndication feeds show the most recent items
For each article in a feed, show
__Full text
__SummaryThat setting is only for your RSS Feed.

Hi there, I figured it out, but thank you for taking the time to reply. Apparently, most of the themes do show posts flowing from one to the next.
The one I chose (fadtastic) does not. It only shows one post and that’s it.
I just chose another theme and its all good.
Thanks again!

Good to know and thanks for returning. :) Will you be kind enough to enter the top of this thread ad mark it “resolved”?

Yes, I meant to do that, thanks for the reminder.
And thanks for the warm reception on my first question.
Happy Blogging!

You’re welcome. It’s past lunch time for me and it’s all your fault that I now have “Lilac Macaroons” on my mind. ;)

Thanks for your support. I subscribed to both of yours! Your site is perfect for a 1st timer like me! I’m excited to learn more from you. I put off starting my blog for years, fearing the unknown. I realized if I kept putting it off, it may never get started!
Have a wonderful week!
