How to make posts/posts image smaller on my home page
-
Hey,
I have done a tone of research and am having trouble finding how I can make my posts (I show my recent posts) on my home page smaller with the image also smaller – and just their normal size in the actual post itself. I upgraded to the custom design and have no clue about css or anything (am currently trying to learn about it)
I use the twenty ten theme.
If I was to upgrade to a paid theme would it do this for me or would I still have to play with css to get the homepage posts smaller?
Thanks for your help!
Brooke

First of all, to make your front page tidier, you should remove the Share and Like sections from it (in Settings > Sharing).
Second, what exactly do you man by smaller? Smaller font size?
Third, before you/we try this type of customizing on Twenty Ten, I suggest you browse the Theme Showcase site and look for themes that display featured images and post excerpts by default (for example, Expound, Origin, Oxygen, Sight):

You can target just the home page by using “.home” at the beginning of your CSS selectors.
If you’re new to CSS, start with a beginner tutorial such as http://www.htmldog.com/guides/cssbeginner/ to get the basics (it will help).
