HOW TO MAKE SITE PUBLIC ON FACEBOOK

    Despite selecting “public” on my website on WordPress, when I post a link to my website on facebook, the link reads as “this site is private” Please help. I pointed my site to weebly, and have my domain by WordPress.

    Hi there,

    It sounds like Facebook has old information about your private WordPress.com site saved in its system. Facebook will need to update the information it saved so it displays the details about your current Weebly site instead. However, there’s nothing we can do to force Facebook to update that information.

    One thing you can try is entering the link to your website in Facebook’s debugger here:

    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

    That can sometimes encourage Facebook to refresh its cache so it uses the most updated information about your site. Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
