how to make text and photos not go up and to the right?
-
Hi, I help Dorothy with her site..I made it for her in 2015,. She’s a 78-year-old writer.
I’d rather not convert it to blocks right now but is there an HTML tag I can insert to not have the photos and text go up and to the right?

Thank you for the heads up! I’ve marked that as mature for you.
I know you mentioned you don’t want to use blocks, but would you consider using them just for this page? The “Media & Text” block would be perfect for your use case here. It’s even responsive with most themes, and it handles this kind of alignment issue. You’d access it by typing /media on its own line (outside the classic editor block) and I’d highly recommend giving it a shot on a test page so you can see what I mean. Also, I think you’ll find the block editor has come a long, long way since its inception.
Otherwise, you could use HTML to wrap each section in a div. Just be sure you don’t have any mistakes with the open and closing tags, as that can cause issues with your theme. You basically need to clear your floats on both sides between sections, and can do that with a div, or add CSS to handle it for you.
