How to make the category dropdown box longer

  In Comtempt theme, the dropdown box for Categories is shorter than the sidebar, any expert know how to make the dropdown box longer, or as long as the sidebar?

  That would require editing of the underlying theme or wordpress files. It is not something that can be done in the CSS.
