How to make the grey bar dissapear on header?-Theme is ‘silver is the new black’

  I just made my first try at putting up a header on my site through custom CSS, but when I save the changes there is a big grey bar on top of my header? Can anyone tell me how to get this bar to go away?-Also not sure if this matters, but when I click on the grey bar, it just re-directs my page to my blog?
