How to manage cyrillic name, even converted

  I’m trying to connect external cyrrilic domain to the blog, it is formed like имядомена.рф. No luck, “the name is not suproted”
  If I convert cyrillic to latin and it becomes variouslatinsymbols.xn--p1ai. It says that the name is blacklisted.
  Same question has been already arised here a couple of years ago, but no answer found.

  Right now, Internationalized Domain Names are not supported on WordPress.com hosting. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#internationalized-domain-names-idns

  There’s not a current option to use that Cyrillic domain on WordPress.com at this time, sorry! Hope that helps to explain the errors you’re seeing.

  Hi there,

  Your domain is an Internationalized Domain Name and therefore cannot be mapped or transferred-in to WordPress.com. This also applies to the converted version you described.
