How to manage spam comments
-
I want to check the comments listed as spam on my blog, but I can’t figure out how. I don’t use wordpress through an independent server/site and as far as I could figure out, that’s the only way I can. I’d really like to decide in the end what is spam or not spam. (I don’t have the authorisation thing for comments checked. It’s free commenting)
Does anyone have an idea how I do it? In the -for dummies- way. ;)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

All of our all our wordpress.COM blogs are equipped with Akismet. There is nothing to turn on, upload or do. Akismet is working across this whole blogging platform on every blog hosted by wordpress.COM
WordPress.COM blogs do not have FTP access and do not have individual plugins.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/Note that the Akismet widget found here -> Appearance -> Widgets on wordpress.COM blog is just a “bragging widget” that will display how many spams are caught. Other than that it doesn’t do anything.
To locate your span filter/folder
On the Admin side of your blog find “Comments” and click. A new page will load. At the top you will see this:Edit Comments
* All | * Pending (xx) | * Approved | * Spam (xx) | * Trash (xx)
Check for Spam
