How to map domain from gandi.net to wordpress.com?

  Hi,

  I’ve done lots of reading regarding domain mapping and still can’t figure out why I cannot get it working. I tried to update the nameservers on my gandi account following the instructions here:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

  Is it because my domain is a .fr domain? Do I need to pay for domain upgrade?

  Hi Lisa,

  If your domain is not a .com, .net, or .org, we will need to add a “Zone Record” for you in order for the new name server information to take effect. Would you be able to send me your domain URL so I can add that for you?

  Hi,
  Before you create the record, I have one more question: After I update the nameservers, will I lose my email access on gandi? If so, what is the best solution to map the domain AND keep access to email server?

  Yes, once you change the nameservers your email will stop working. To fix this we can mirror the MX records for your domain. Your current registrar should be able to tell you what these are.
