How to merge 2 of the footers that I have?
-
Hi All,
To begin with am sorry if am posting in the wrong category. I have an issue with my footers, I currently have 4 and want to merge the 2 middle ones, so I can have a big middle one. Am not sure how to attach a picture, otherwise I would to make it easier to understand.
Thanks in advance for the help -
Hi, if you can add the widgets you wish to have in the footer widget area, in the order you want them, I can see what I can do about making the middle one wider. The footer widget area is a single div instead of four individual divs, so we have to adjust the individual widgets by widget type or their unique id.
-
I now have added everything in the footer, but I am still not able to combine the middle two widgets. It’s really annoying
-
I can help with that, but when I look at https://rawez94.wordpress.com/, I only see one footer widget, a Recent Posts Widget that shows up when I go to your About Page. I see no other sites associated with your username. I also do not see that you have the WordPress.com Premium Plan upgrade, and for sites hosted here at WordPress.com, you would need that upgrade.
Can you give me a link to the site you are talking about?
-
oh am really sorry, I should have put a link to the website I was talking about.

ns2.123-reg.co.ukThat site is not hosted by wordpress.COM, and as it is not on our servers we cannot help you with it.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
This is wordpress.COM support. We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.
(3) sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page. That support is provided at https://wordpress.ORG/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.com/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org

@rawez94, there is a dedicated Twenty Sixteen support forum at WordPress.org where you can post for help.
I did take a quick look at your site, and with the way the CSS is done, this is going to take a change to the theme php script files. The people at WordPress.org can help you with that.
-
And actually I see you are not using Twenty Sixteen. Sorry about that. I would suggest asking for help from the theme author directly or ask in the volunteer-based WordPress.org forums.
