How to merge an old blog with a new gravatar account
-
While trying to post a comment to a WordPress blog post I somehow ended up creating a gravatar(?). At the time I thought it was linked directly to an old WordPress blog that I hadn’t used in a while. When I decided to start using that old blog again I realized that it wasn’t linked to the gravatar account. I’ve been searching for a way to combine the old blog to the new gravatar and this is what I found out so far:
- 1-
If both accounts have the same email address they will get linked (is this true? can I just change the old account’s email to link it to the new?) .
- 2-
I can invite the new gravatar account to become an administrator of the old blog and this way the blog will appear under the new gravatar.
- 3-
I can transfer ownership of the old blog to the new gravatar account (does that keep the blog intact with it’s name and url?
Finally I am not sure what is the best solution and if my understanding of these solutions is correct.
Your advice and help will be much appreciated.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you no longer want to use the account you registered the blog with the easiest option for you would be number 3 and transfer ownership of the blog to your new account. The blog will keep all content and the website address. You can read more about transferring the site at https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

Your best bet is probably route 3, which you can do following https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
It’s definitely the safest, and I know it’ll work. :)
