How to merge WordPress.com usernames?

  When I try to change my WordPress.com username @tenay10i to @tenaybenes, it says the latter already exists. Well, I’m the only Tenay Benes in the world so I must’ve made a mistake; however, I cannot figure out what email address is associated with @tenaybenes. How can I merge these usernames together?

  Hi there, it does indeed look like @tenaybenes is an existing account.

  If you’re not sure what email address you used for that account, our account recovery form does have an option for that:
  https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

  You can find the account recovery guide here:

  There isn’t really a method to “merge” the two as such, but if you’re able to recover the other account you could start using it in place of this one – you’d likely want to invite it to become an administrator, and then you could transfer ownership of anything you have on this account:
