How to migrate my blog from Tracky to WordPress.com
-
We have a designer currently stirring up a new site for the move. I will ping the them about the CSS modifications bc we don’t know too much about it. Thanks!
-
How would the designer go about editing the theme(s)?
Do I need to first pay for the WP Business package, then choose a premium theme so the designer can edit it to my liking?
What info does the designer need to work on the modifications? Is this all feasible even though the website transition hasn’t happened?
Thanks! -
We’re managing security and performance for all of the themes and other code here. If you’d like to use your own custom themes and manage security on your own, you would be welcome to install your own copy of WordPress at another host. We have more information here:

Great to hear that you guys manage everything within. The migration is happening today, but it is going to back to WordPress.org. Everything is very overwhelming.

-Does your backend provide mysql for relational data (i.e. user information)?
-Mongo (or similar) for non relational data (i.e. content),
-Redis (for sessions), and something for real time messaging if needed? Thanks!

@dulcecandy87 Just to clarify, we manage sites at WordPress.com. If you’re using your own installation you can manage it using the tools you’d like.
WordPress.com is a manged service, and WordPress.org is free, open source software that you manage and modify on your own. Your other questions are best suited for the community forums at WordPress.org since the site won’t be here anymore. Cheers!
