Hello @tanaj567,
Are you referring to the 3 blog posts that are under the main graphic like shown here?
If so, you’ll need to set your homepage to a static page instead of showing individual posts. To do that, it may help to go through the first two sections on the Sela theme Information page.
That should help you get the static page enabled and the option to add widgets set up to look similar to the theme example.
If you need anything specific, let me know and I’d be happy to help!

Thanks, I tried the instructions for the home page but it doesn’t say how to d the blog page

I got the response below through email. Is this what you want?
That can be achieved with the use of our More Tag. We have a handy guide on how to set it up at https://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag/.

Hello. I believe what you want to do is have the blog display an excerpt. You can do this when creating a new blog post (or editing an existing one). In the right menu options of your blog post, under “More Options” there is an area where you can put in your custom excerpt. This is the text that will appear on your blog page. Clicking the excerpt will take the user to the full post.
I hope that helps!

Hello @tanaj567,
I’m not sure where you’re getting stuck. Did you use the instruction link that @simplenaijagirl sent over?
If so, and you’re still having issues, you may need to make sure the setting for “Content Settings” is set in a way that allows you to manually insert the More tag.
Go to: https://wordpress.com/customize/socialcommunication970.wordpress.com and look for “Content Settings”. Then under Blog Display, make sure it’s set to “Full Post”. Be sure to publish your settings to save them.
If you’re still having issues, can you let us know what blog post you’ve added the Read More tag to and where it should be showing up? We can continue to help from there.
