How to modify the opening page?

  • Unknown's avatar

    My blog is
    http://glenparknews.wordpress.com/
I have put links the pages (contact us, email lists, join etc)
in the right had side bar.
Now I want to remove them from under where it says
News from the Glen Park Association.
But I can’t remember how I put them there in the first place and can’t figure out how to get access to them. And as I don’t know what that particular piece of real estate is called in Word Press, I’m not doing too well trying to search on instructions to do so.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Beth

That particular piece of real estate is called the header. The tabs there are called top navigation, and they are links to your static pages (you didn’t literally put them there: they are added automatically as soon as you publish pages). If you don’t want them in your header, you must either turn most of the pages into child pages assigned to the same parent page, or switch to a theme with no top navigation.
