How to monetize/make my blog profitable?

  Hi. I have been running my blog for nearly 9 months now, and after some promotion, things are starting to take off. I started it to keep up with all my musings, fashion likings, musical and clothing endeavors. Now, it’s gaining some steam. With AdSense out o’ the question, what are the best ways, if at all, to monetize a WP blog?

  Get yourself a host and install the free wordpress.org software?

  That is, in fact, pretty much the only solution.

  I have a blog I started on WP.com that I intend to swap over to independent WP soon. The SEO advantages of starting on WP.com cannot be overestimated; they are profound. But when you want to make money, you’ve got to spend money, and that means on hosting. Don’t move until you know the $ you make from ads will be greater than the $ you spend on hosting.
