How to move a WordPress Website / do themes move too?

    Hi,
    First off: I know little to nothing about web development so if you could explain like I’m 5 that would be very helpful. I know there is a whole page dedicated to moving websites but it’s all gibberish to me, unfortunately. (English is also not my native language).

    Can someone help me with this?
    I have 2 domains: website A and website B. For the past few weeks I have been building a new website on domain A (behind the scenes as draft pages). The issue I need help with is: I want to host that new website on domain B. I have made backups of every website and downloaded every database. Basically the URLs need to be switched. How do I go about this? What’s the first step?

    Another problem I’m running into is that website A was built with the Divi theme that was once installed by a web developer and I no longer have access to, and website B does not. The websites are totally different from each other. I’m worried that website A won’t display properly once I’ve uploaded it to website B. Is this something I should be worried about or will the theme move automatically?

    We are unable to help because we don’t host your site directly on our WordPress.com managed hosting. Instead, your site is hosted with a different provider on a separate host, and we’re unable to provide support. But I can get you pointed in the right direction.

    The good news is that because you use the open-source variant of the WordPress platform (which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com), help is available at the community forums here:

    The folks in the open-source forum are more familiar with these issues and are in the best position to help.
