How to move blog post to dedicated, separate page?

  I’m building out the frame of my site using the ‘free plan’ before purchasing the business plan.

  The problem is, the blog post I created is stuck in the ‘Community’ page I created. When I click Site Pages in my dashboard, I see the following:

  Blog Posts
  “Community” page is showing your latest posts.

  How do I move the blog post from the Community page to its own page, and then be enabled to edit the Community page? As it is, when I click Community, I’m redirected to the blog post I made and my actual community page contents aren’t available.

  All input is greatly appreciated!

  I tried deleting the Community page and created a new one without the attachment to my blog post, but when I do that the Community page doesn’t even show up in the navigation bar. Its the same even after changing the order to 5 (I want it to be the last of 5 pages, and the other 4 are working just fine).

  Hi @horticultureledlighting,

  To have the new created page in your menu bar, you can go into your wp-admin panel (yoursite.wordpress.com/wp-admin) and on the left options enter to: Appearance > Menus
  You will see the ‘Pages’ section, click on ‘view all’, then select the ones you want into your main menu and save it.

  You may already know that, but just to say… To create a new and separate page (top-level page): go into your wp-admin panel and enter to: Pages > add new.

  Thanks so much! I didn’t even know about the wp-admin page. I just started using WordPress yesterday. All I had to do was delete the invalid community page and create a new community page. Now everything is perfect!

  I’m thoroughly impressed with how much of the service WordPress allows you to use before purchasing a paid plan. I’ve used Wix before and it just doesn’t come close in comparison. I’ll definitely be subscribing to the Business Plan.
