How to move blog posts to a page
-
I’m using my WordPress site for professional purposes, so I would like to have my “home” page be something that I have written. When you set up a new blog, the “home” page is where your blog posts go. On rowanshaman.wordpress.com (redirects to rowanshaman.com) I deleted the original home page (I don’t remember how now) not realizing that then, if I want to publish a blog post, it doesn’t show up anywhere on my site. For example, here is a test post that has an address on the web, but can’t be seen by anyone unless I give them the specific address: http://rowanshaman.com/2011/09/26/test-post/
So my question is: how can I get my blog posts to publish to a page that I’ve created called “blog” and/or how can I rename that original “home” page so that I can renumber it in page sequence. (I’m fine with creating a new WordPress blog and moving my content if there is no way to recover that original “home” page for rowanshaman.wordpress.com (rowanshaman.com). I’ve already created rowanshamanichealing.wordpress.com just in case that is needed).
I hope this is clear, and thanks for any help!

You have to go back to settings > reading and select your “blog” page for the “posts” page. They all your posts will show up on that page you have called blog.
-
go to your dashboard > settings > reading
in there you can select what your front page will display and where your posts will display. select “static page” and set the page you want to use as your home page, and set the page you want to use for your posts.
hope that helps! :)

Yay :) Thank you so much! I had a feeling it was something simple, but I just couldn’t find it. Lol.
