How to move content, followers, and comments from one wordpress site to another?

    I want to move all the content (not much, less than 15 posts), including comments, and followers from one of my wordpress site (xxx.wordpress.com) to another of my wordpress sites (yyyy.wordpress.com). Reason I prefer the yyy.wordpress.com URL.

    Alternatively, I just want to change URL of xxx.wordpress.com to yyy.wordpress.com. I do not want to retain anything that is currently present in yyy.wordpress.com

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

    If you have already registered an address that you would like to use as the new address for an existing blog simply follow the steps below to change your blog address:

      Export the content from your current blog by following the steps in our Export guide

      Import the content into your new blog by following our Import guide

      Optionally, add a Site Redirect upgrade to automatically redirect visitors to your new address

    However, if you want to move your site’s subscribers and followers over to another WordPress.com site that you own, you need a Happiness Engineer in order to do it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/#wordpress-com-site-to wordpress-com-site

    Hi there,

    Have you already created the new address? If so, you need to follow @heliodore’s instructions to transfer your content, and then let me know once you’re ready so I can transfer your followers and stats for you.

    If you have not registered the new address yet, go to My Site ->Settings and select the Change Address option. That will let you create the new address and move everything over all at once, including your followers.

    Lastly, with an address change it’s always helpful to just publish a post on the old address giving a heads up to anyone who might be following your site via an RSS reader or who have it bookmarked, rather than following it via our system, as we have no way to move those kinds of readers for you.

    Hi Kokkieh,

    I got an import successful message but I see that the featured images on my posts have not been imported. The site address is https://wordjini.wordpress.com. Should I set those manually for each post or can you help with that?

    This happens sometimes during import. In this case you’ll need to edit the posts on the new site and set featured images for them again. It does look like all the images were imported to the new site’s media library, so you just need to set them as featured in the individual posts.
