How to move email subscription followers from a self-hosted site to a wordpress.com site?
-
I’m moving from self-hosted to wordpress.com. The self-hosted site was closed by the host before my client was able to get the data from there. I had them hooked up with Jetpack so i was able to download the csv of all the followers.
I’ve created the new blog on wordpress.com and am I’m trying to figure out how to upload the subscribers there. It looks like I need WordPress support to help with that?
If I can do it I’m happy to, i just cant find how. Thank you!

Hi there,
What was the URL of your Jetpack site, and what is the URL of the WordPress.com site you want to migrate your email followers *to* in this case?
Once you confirm those details for us, we can migrate on your behalf. Thanks for confirming.

Ok I guess i have one more question. I accidentally hit Submit on that reply 2x and saw an error message “Slow down; you move too fast.” and I was wondering if that is a nod to the Billy Joel song Vienna!? That would be a cool little easter egg

Maybe not Billy Joel but perhaps Simon and Garfunkel?
