Hi there,
Are you willing to share why you’d like to move? Does Squarespace offer a feature on their end that you need, that you can’t find here?
Keep in mind that Squarespace is a lot less customizable than WordPress, as it doesn’t have a whole ecosystem of themes and plugins you can use to extend a Squarespace site.
If you’re sure you want to do this, note that you can only migrate your site’s content and domain to Squarespace. You won’t be able to export your theme/design, as themes aren’t interchangeable between different platforms, and you’ll also lose all functionality you currently have added to your site via plugins.
To migrate your content, please follow Squarespace’s instructions linked above.
To transfer your domain to them, you can follow these steps:
https://wordpress.com/en/support/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/
It’s not possible to transfer a Google Workspace subscription directly from us to another provider. Instead, you’ll need to cancel that upgrade with us.
After you do that, you’ll receive an email from Google asking if you want to continue using the account, with instructions how you can set up billing directly with them. You have a 30 day grace period after cancellation to do this. If you don’t, Google will terminate the account after the grace period ends.
If Squarespace is also a reseller for Google Workspace, it might be possible to import your account to them once it has been cancelled on our end. But you’ll need to ask Squarespace support directly about that.
If Squarespace does not offer that option, you can set up billing directly with Google to continue using that account. As long as the DNS records for that email account remain added to your domain after you transfer it to Squarespace, your email will continue working. In other words, the important bit here is that the DNS records should be added to your domain for the email to work, at whoever is hosting your domain’s DNS. Who is managing your Google Workspace account doesn’t actually matter.
Let us know if you have any questions about this.
