how to move my domain

My domain provider (wix.com) wont let me change my nameservers.
Instead, they gave this code and said I should ask you to continue the transfer of my domain marciabenavides.com to my wordpress blog.
Can you help me?

Hi there!
I’ve removed the code you posted as I believe it’s a transfer code, which means that anyone with it could essentially steal your domain.
WordPress.com does not accept incoming transfers of domains. You’ll need to transfer the domain to another registrar like Hover.com and then update your name servers.
Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hi shawna, thanks for your support.
I also asked this question in the support chat (was desperate) and it appears that Jason Snow tells me for a wix domain I need to purchase a domain mapping (which I think I did when upgrated) and then set my A records differently.
So now Im confused, should I pay or not for the transfering of the domain?
Is there a difference between maping and transfering my domain?
Thanks so much! -
Ok so I´ve read the difference between mapping and tranferring.
What I need to do is complete the mapping of my domaing over to wordpress. But Wix wont let me change nameservers, so gave me the code.
So I´m trying to transfer it to hover.com but failing because they´re having trouble sending the admin approval email.
And then support tells me to change my A records over at wix.
So is that like an option instead of changin NS ???

Sorry for the confusion! A records are another option. We try to stay away from suggesting them though because our IP addresses change all the time. Which means that your domain will stop working in the future.
If you transfer to another registrar like Hover and change your name servers, you won’t have to worry about your DNS settings suddenly being incorrect.
Let me know if you have more questions! And again, sorry for the confusion.

OK. got it.
thank you so muchI´m working on the transfer; it just seems that Hover is having trouble but I will keep trying.
Thanks for your pattience!

Let me know if I can help in any way! If Hover is too much trouble, any registrar will do!

Hi again Shawna, thank you so much for your help.
I am transfering my domain to bluehost, Im just waiting for Wix to approve it but it should be done by tomorrow or the next day.I am a total newbie with this stuff and so I want to ask you now, If I should then change my NS from bluehost to wordpress, or import my wordpress blog to bluehost? I think I´m fine working here I´m just concern about adding my mailchimp plugin (i´ve read about it I know I cant do that here), and while there are some ways to link to my suscribir form, I want to know if it would be easer from bluehost to add this or any other App or plugin later, so I start already working from bluehost.
For example, I liked the HelloBar thing and think I could use it either to help with my mailchimp account, or for any other need later on.
Could you give me your toughts on this?Ps. By now I feel I should send you an apple pie or something, thank you so much for your kind help!

If you’re already comfortable with Mailchimp and like the look of a few other plugins, self hosting through Bluehost might be a great way to go!
Self hosting is a little more involved on the technical side, you can read some information about the differences between using WordPress.com and self hosting here:
While I *love* a good apple pie, I’ll settle for getting your site up and fabulous! :D

Alright so my domain´s transfer has been completed to bluehost. I decided to self-host there. In installed wordpress there, now how do I take my already costumized wordpress.com blog to bluehost? Would that automatically make it wordpress.org? Will I lose my work? I pursched a theme and all, I hope not =(

now how do I take my already costumized wordpress.com blog to bluehost?
You can export and import content following the steps here:
However, that won’t bring across any theme customizations. You’ll need to set those up separately on your self-hosted site. The export should bring across all posts, pages, comments, and media items.
