How to move posts
-
Hi, i need help.
I have a couple of pages (tabs). The front being “about” or “author”. When i create a new post, it automatically resides in the front page. I still cannot add any new post to the other pages / tabs. Please help me sort this out.
Thank you very much. -
It’s best to provide a link to your blog when asking a question in the forums. Usually volunteers need to see your site in order to answer your question, and also to be sure that it is indeed a wordpress.COM blog.
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/7-things-to-know-before-posting-in-wordpresscom-forums?replies=1Anyway, is this your blog? http://rbjtimban.wordpress.com/
Then this should help you out: -
Am very sorry for not linking to my blog. I was in a hurry. Yes, my blog is http://rbjtimban.wordpress.com Thank you very much for the friendly reminder.

It now looks like “home” is the page you can use to make posts on your blog. That is working?
“Music in Me, or Vice Versa?” “The Author” “Stambak Ulu – The Comeback” are all pages. Not for posting on.
You can not post on “pages”

Far be it from me…I just a happy and contented wealthy person; however, I didn’t get that way by abusing folks.
First, this is from a person who loves WordPress and what you folks have done here with the upgrades and making WordPress a leading provider the world over.
However, nothing is ever right with bad manners, sour decorum, and other rubbish. To understand business is to understand human beings. We all want instant gratification on an instant convenient basis.
I’ve been with WordPress for going on three years now and as I stated I love the folks here. However, I know to read the forum before asking–I didn’t at first–and I received abuse that literally shot my CSS through the ceiling for fear of being abused again….more than once by the same person!
I realize that there are volunteers manning the desks albeit at home or in an office and I applaud them, yet, ‘support or asking questions’ is much like advertising. It works in only two ways.
(1) Advertising serves to draw customers in and try your product. As we know, advertising can work the opposite:
(2) Advertising is the pinnacle of the business insofar as it opens the doors and windows for ALL to see. If what they see, or how they are treated is bad or poorly, you’re flat out going to lose them and in business the statistic is a multiple is of times (x 5) five. They tell five of their friends, who tell five or their friends…Suggestion: Maybe a disclaimer at the bottom or top of the edit box stating, “Have you checked the forum? Are you including your URL? Seems to me that people would not have sensitivites to volunteers helping them when they are prepared.
Just a suggestion

onemorecup – we’ve asked for that kind of thing here before (see this thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wpcom-not-wporg?replies=77 for a lot of good ideas) but nothing has been done :(

Excuse me? Simple direct advice is not “bad manners, sour decorum, and other rubbish.”
I’m sorry for your experience of abuse, but the OP did in fact learn something, and solved the problem with the advice given.
Hoping not to add to your feelings, but you should make your suggestions for improvement to wordpress support, as noted in this post: http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2008/12/23/support-updates-new-resources-holiday-hours/#comment-59070
WordPress.com already has the yellow background on the sticky posts (with information to study before posting) on top of the forum, and next to the search box, “Need help? Check out our Support site, then_____ search the forums” You are pointing out some specific improvements they could make.
Telling volunteers who are only your fellow wordpress.com bloggers won’t result in any changes. Your suggestions are good, in my opinion.
