How to move subscribers and followers
-
I tried to follow the instructions to migrate my subscribers and followers but it does not work. When I click the “manage” button for the domain that is hosted on Bluehost, it does not take me to a place where I can migrate anything. It simply takes me to my main WordPress.com page where I see blogs that I follow and other wordpress information
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Oliver! I can help you with this. The first step is going to be to disconnect your Jetpack site from your WordPress.com account, then reconnect it. I can disconnect for you, if you give me the go ahead, and then you can re-establish the connection. Get back to me, and I can disconnect as soon as possible. Many thanks!

yes please do so :) Also can you explain why my wordpress.com followers are not seeing my new blog post? I have subscribed to my own blog and I do not see my test posts there now that I have moved from wordpress.com to bluehost for hosting

Perfect, now simply reconnect :) After you’ve reconnected, if you could try the migration again, according to these instructions, that would be great:
http://jetpack.me/support/subscription-migration-tool/Let me know if the transfer was successful. If not, I can help further.
Also can you explain why my wordpress.com followers are not seeing my new blog post?
On which site did you publish the post? Could you give me a link to it?
Thanks very much!

no…thank YOU :) I’ll try the instructions again. The site I moved from wordpress.com to bluehost is http://www.onewaywardson.com/
the test blog posts I created there are not showing up in my wordpress reader which makes me fear that my 104 followers (non-email subscribers) won’t see my posts in the reader

Once your 104 followers are migrated, you shouldn’t have any problems with notifications of your new posts being sent to subscribers.
Let me know how rerunning the transfer process goes. If you have any trouble, I will manually move your subscribers on our end.
Best of luck! Looking forward to hearing from you!

well I got further. This time it at least showed me the page for migrating but when I clicked the button to migrate, I got this error
“That method not is not allowed.”

I see that the subscribers have been moved now. Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Well something is still screwy. my domain is onewaywardson.com but when I try to add that URL to the WP Reader, it changes it to OliverCdamon.wordpress.com
I own both domains and when I first started my blog it was OliverCdamon.wordpress.com but then I paid for OliverCdamon.com and started using that. A few weeks later I paid for onewaywardson.com and redirected OliverCdamon.com to that URL. Everything was groovy for months.
Now that I have moved my site to Bluehost things are just not working right. I paid to transfer onewaywardson.com to Bluehost 3 days ago but that is still pending.
Cany anybody help me sort this out? I should be able to host my site on Bluehost but still have my followers see my posts in the WP reader, right?

That’s correct.
I see that the domain already points to Bluehost. Perhaps that there is still something cached in your browser that’s giving you issues. Please try clearing out your cache and cookies using the guide below:
