How to move the cursor below inserted images while editing?

  • Unknown's avatar

    I have a draft blog in which I have inserted to photo images side by side with text stopping before I inserted the images.

    I must have gone brain dead but I cannot get the cursor to move below the images so I can continue?

    Thanks,

    Jim

    I should make you leave a link to your blog – but

    Switch to html edit mode – page down then insert any junk character below the picture code (I use z) then switch back to visual mode and you should find the “z” and start typing.

    OK, I tried this but the junk character appears between the two photos at the top, not the bottom.

    I posted it here even though its still a draft so you can see it

    Appreciate your help, thanks

    a) We need the URL of the published post: we don’t have access to your dashboard.

    b) But I can guess you had inserted two left-aligned images. To prevent text wrap-around, you need to switch to HTML and paste this after the second image code:
    <br style="clear:both;" />

    thanks, but the link to the published post is above and here below

    I have checked the images and I have the one on the left set as left-aligned and the one on the right as right-aligned. I tried switching to HTML and inserting the code above and like the previous suggestion this get the cursor to the top in the middle between the two images…I can then insert text down the middle but I don’t want it there …sounds like I am going to have to delete the images and start over.

    appreciate any other suggestions you might have?

    Sorry if I wasn’t clear enough: my suggestion is to be combined with auxclass’s: paste the code then type something below it then switch back to Visual.

    The link you pasted (again) is the URL you get when on the post editor screen: as I said, we cannot access your dashboard. You need to copypaste the URL you get after clicking the post title in your actual blog, not in your dashboard – this URL:

    Feeling a little nostalgic about the demise of Kodak

    Yes, I understand about the URL links. I appreciate the attempt to help but none of your suggestions worked so I basically started over and went from there. I now have a post I am satisfied with….still no idea why I could not move the cursor in the beginning.

    Thanks for the replies nonetheless and what do you think of my blog?

    I am having the same issue. I manipulated the html code and it’s hit and miss if it will work.

    You have to paste in some HTML code below the last stuff already there then follow it with some junk entry like “zzz” for example

    Here is the CODE

    <br style=”clear:both;” />

    Hope this helps….seems to me like you should just be able to move your cursor down but for some reason you can’t

    Thanks… I have been posting the picture then going over to html, putting in xxxx going back to main editing, moving it to the center, deleting it and then adding what is needed. Lot’s of work when you are posting 10-15 pictures with description beneath each one.
