how to move the "leave a comment" button
-
My blog uses the Chateau theme.
The “leave a comment” button is at the top of each new blog post. I would like it to appear at the bottom or end of each blog post. As it is now, a follower reads a post and if they decide to comment, they have to scroll back up to the top of the post to click “leave a comment” and then a comment box opens at the end of the post. How can I move the “leave a comment” button to the end of my posts?
Thanks so much.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot change this as the way comments are displayed is coded into the core of WordPress. Unless you use the P2 theme which is a Twitter-like theme, know that the front pages of our blogs “showcase content” and comments are collapsed on that page. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page open on their own page where all comments display.

Thank you for your quick response. This information is helpful and I understand where comments will appear.
A follow-up question: can I move the “leave a comment” button to the end of my blog posts?
Thanks.

I too am interested in moving the “leave a comment” button. It is the only design flaw for this style, many people I have spoken to are unaware of the comment feature because it is located before the actual post!
To WordPress: if you changed the location to be at the end of the post, I think most bloggers would be much happier as it would encourage more interaction!

The position and the styling of the comment box varies from theme to theme. On a given theme, you can’t change it without the Custom Design upgrade.
If you were a regular here, you would have seen that other users complain when the Comment link is at the end.
You can switch to a different theme; or you can use the read-more tag to truncate the post on the main page, so that one has to click to read the rest of the post (and see the reply field). -
Why would I be a regular here unless I had lots of problems? I don’t sit around reading forums for fun, they are a tool for solving issues. No need for condescension. Thanks for your reply.

You’d be a regular here if you wanted to learn.
And “condescension”? You’re imagining things. All I’m saying is: for every user that says move the comment link to the bottom there’ll be another user that says no, move it to the top.
