How to move up / down the categories?

  Hello.. i use a widget to show me the categories in the left side of the screen but i would like to change their order… how can i do that?
  And another question is ho do i hide articles from the “home page” i only want some of them to be visible after sleecting a particular category..

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Categories are alphabetically ordered when displayed. If you insert a number before the word then you can reorder them.

  Example 1:
  apples
  bananas
  cherries

  Example 2:
  1 bananas
  2 cherries
  3 apples

  The number of posts that display on your front page can be set here > Settings > Reading.
