how to not get the full post in the main page
-
<Hello guys>
I´d love to have a really nice page that displays my posts chronologicaly so people can see my latests posts but with a twist.
I would like them to click on each post so I know which ones work better.
For that reason i would like to know how to do this: I only want to show the tittle, image, date and a brief description of each of my latests post.
Any idea on how to do it?
My theme is Twenty Sixteen but im open to changes if this doesnt support it
Thanks!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It is not possible to set your current theme to display an excerpt (brief description) instead of the full post. However you could use the “Blog Posts Block” to set up a custom blog page: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/blog-posts-block/
The blog posts block has an option to display only the excerpt (as well as title date, and image)
Another option is to add a “continue reading” button to your blog posts, so you can control where the text is cut off. More info on how to add that here: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/more-block/
Hope this helps!
