How to not have my added text show as reader comment?
-
When I have added text or a link to a post or a page, such as at the bottom of ‘Emanate Presence Designs’ and the top of ‘What’s on your mind?’, I am notified that a reader has made a comment:
[Pending] Emanate Presence … commented on your post “What’s on your mind?”
What should I be doing differently, to not have my added text show up on the Dashboard as a Comment?
Nothing relevant to this was found by using Search in Support….
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I can’t see any comment on http://emanatepresence.wordpress.com/2013/04/23/emanate-presence-designs/
What does the comment look like on the dashboard?
-
I do not see comments on the Blog, either. However, they show up as waiting for approval, and I just got one by email where the Subject is:
:::
[Emanate Presence] Please moderate: “What’s on your mind?”
:::
and the email text says:
:::
New pingback waiting approval on Emanate Presence
Emanate Presence Designs | Emanate Presence commented on What’s on your mind?[…] Emanate Presence before posting or printing […]

It’s a pingback, just as it says, not a comment. It just means you linked from one part of your blog to another. You can either Approve it, in which case it will show as a comment, or you can Trash it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/pingbacks/

Okay, understood. Read the Support article on Pingbacks. I interpreted that ‘pingback’ meant it was notifying me of a comment.
I think on the dashboard it actually said something like, ‘You have received a Comment.’
Anyway, now I know. Tx again.
