How to not have “WordPress” appear on my site

    Sorry, but I am a dudhead on this. When people go to http://www.askyra.co.uk I want them to see just that and not http://askyra.wordpress.com anywhere.

    is that masking or forwarding? what do I need to do with my hosting control panel. I am baffled by terms such as redirecting, forwarding and masking. eg what needs to be masked by whom and how? I just dont want lovely wordpress appearing in the browser window when people are on my site.

    Just go to your Upgrades page and buy the Domain Mapping upgrade. Once you’ve connected that URL and your blog here, set it as Primary under Domain Management and nobody will ever see the wordpress part of your URL again.
