How to notify Users of topic updates

    I am looking for a Weblog/Forum, that does not require users to leave my website, where the people in a group can share ideas and questions, and the other users will be notified/updated when someone updates anything. Can anyone suggest a tool/program.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I’m afraid this site is pretty specifically wordpress.com oriented. You might be talking about a forum, a LinkedIn discussion group, a Facebook open group, or a wiki, but you’d need to look for information about those things at Google.

    LiveJournal has communities, which is structured like a blog but is multi-user. That might work.
