How to notify viewers of a private blog abput new post

  I have a private blog with many viewers. I would like to notify them by email when a new article is posted. How can I do that?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Viewers to a private site should automatically be signed up for email notifications, unless they have changed their account settings to not get emails.

  On WordPress.com followers control whether they get emails or not. You as the site owner do not control that. You can find more information on how this works here:

  My viewers didn’t receive any notification… But I found a widget where they can choose to be notified and added it.

  You can also give them that link I gave above. It explains how to enable email notifications from their account settings and the Reader.
