How to offer people to subscribe to my blog

Hello!
I started blogging just few weeks ago. I have an email list of people that I would like subscribe to my blog and see updates automatically when I enter a new topic or write a new entry. I don’t know how to make them join my blog. Any suggestions? I would like to place a tag on my blog so everyone who wants to join will simply write their first name and email address and it will immediately make them a member of my blog. How to do this?

You can offer e-mail updates via Feedburner – http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/11/how-can-i-offer-email-updates/
They will not become an actual member of your blog. They will only subscribe to your updates.

If you use the email update option from feedburner,
you’ll need to use the link option for it to work properly.
