How to only display posts with specific tag on page

  • Unknown's avatar

This is a two part question.

    1. I want to put my podcasts on one page. And if that tag is “podcast,” how do I do that?

    2. I want to exclude all posts with tag “podcast” from the page that has all my other blog posts.

    Thanks,
    Susan

    Hello,

Here are the answers on your questions:
    1. Q: I want to put my podcasts on one page. And if that tag is “podcast,” how do I do that?
A: WordPress can display posts with same tag on tag archive page. Login into WordPress admin panel and go to Appearance -> Menus. Find your primary menu, and select it.
Now, click on Screen Options button in the upper right corner, and check option Tags. http://screencast.com/t/i8cv187zd9 This way you will get additional menu panel Tags.
Select your tag from the panel (Podcasts) and add it to the navigation. Save changes.

This way all posts with the same tag will be displayed on that page.

    2. Q: I want to exclude all posts with tag “podcast” from the page that has all my other blog posts.
A: Same process as described above, but you will need to use different tag for all other posts. You can add them tag “Post” to separate them from posts with tag “Podcasts”.

    Thank you,
    – Djordje
