How to only show five particular posts and hide the rest?
-
Hi, all!
I’d like to have my five favorite posts at my blog visible, and then hide the rest. Is that possible? What would be the most efficient way to do so?
Thanks!

…or, alternatively, I wouldn’t mind hiding the post content, and leaving their titles visible…

You can regulate how much of a post is visible on your blog page by using the < !–more– > tag. Everything after that will only show on the single post page, not on the blog page or in feeds.

Hi aqhw
You can link your 5 favourite titles in a text widget and place them in your sidebar. That way, readers can read your latest posts and can have easy access to your favourite posts as well. You can also put the links in a page.

As well as using the <!–more–> tag to truncate your posts as kimik0 has said you can also limit the number of posts that appear on your front page here ->
Options -> Reading
Blog PagesShow at most: ____ posts
After changes are made click “Update Options”
Then by following sulz’s advice you can place the text widget with links to the posts in your sidebar.However, if you only want titles to appear on the front page and not the contents of posts then the Fadtastic theme only displays the most recent post in it’s full form and then lists linked titles only to the other posts.
