How to only show part of post in feed?

    Some of my posts contain a large amount of content so I only want part of the post to show on my main page or dynamic feed. I have been into settings and tried changing (un ticking show full post) with no avail.
    Can anyone help?
    I’m also wanting to know how I can link my wordpress posts to twitter so that each time I publish a post it is displayed on my twitter account?

    That setting is for the RSS Feed, to get the ‘main page’ to show only an excerpt you need to use the ‘more tag’, which you can do by pressing the more tag button (in between the link button and the spell check one), or press Alt+Shift+T (in the visual editor). Just put that where you want the excerpt to end on the front page, and then continue writing after it, and then press publish.
