How to open a click-through image target url in a new window

  My blog has embedded images linked to other sites. I would like those images to click through to the site in a new window, rather than the blog window. Is that possible?

  Are you referring to images in your posts, or to images in your sidebar?

  Images in my posts. I can assign a url link to them, but it opens in the same window. I would like the link to open in a new window or tab
