How to opt out of updates?

It feels like every couple months, WordPress formatting changes and my website breaks. Last time, it was a change to how bulleted lists work, causing my existing ones to be split all over the place. Today, it’s a change to text colors and highlighting, causing all my non-black text to be highlighted in yellow when they weren’t before. How do I opt out of these constant changes? I just want my website to be able to exist without being monitored for new bugs.

Can you clarify the issue you are having? Where can I see the yellow text issue on your site? I looked on your homepage (https://teamfortresswave3.wordpress.com/) but did not see it there so if you can share a link we are happy to take a look.

@thevineyard00 – the yellow text issue is a bug that our team is working on fixing. We hope to have that updated soon.

Wait, this posted? I tried to post it and it gave me an error message. I don’t remember exactly what it was because this was a few days ago, but the site told me that it did not post. Extremely weird that it went through anyway.
As a reply to totoro, I manually went through and fixed it by highlighting everything in white, because I had thought that the forums were broken and that I wasn’t going to get assistance so I just brute forced it. Obviously not an ideal setup but at least it looks correct now as you saw.

I am referring to the forum post yes, I tried to make the post several times and every time I would get an error message saying that it didn’t go through, I can’t remember the exact reason given. That’s why I wasn’t expecting to get an email that I had received replies, I had no idea the submission ever went through.

Thanks for that confirmation – we have experienced issues recently, but it doesn’t look like this is the same thing in this instance.
I also checked our spam and there’s nothing there. It looks like we are able to get your replies though, rest assured. :)

Hi there, just wanted to update you that our dev team just shipped a fix for in the past hour. On your end you will need to open the post, make a minor change (like deleting or adding punctuation), then save the changes. Re-saving any post/page with this issue should return it to the correct appearance.
