How to order blog posts?

Is there a way that i can order my blog posts to how they appear on my site or do they order themselves from newest post first? I would like my first post at the beginning of the page following through in oldest to newest in that order?

The reason blogs arrange posts with the newest first is that otherwise for the average regular blogger after a number of weeks/months/years visitors would soon be fed up of having to scroll past loads of content they’d already seen to find the new stuff.
Of course there could be instances where a site would need to be arranged in a book-like structure. And it might work ok if a site was designed to be unchanging and only contained a dozen or so posts. Or in the case of your site where you want to start with Week One onwards…..as long as you don’t end up with hundreds of weeks…… Some info here:-

Also, if there’s just a couple posts you want to be at the top of your blog, you could make them sticky.
