How to password protect my wordpress blog?

  I wanted to password protect my blog, but WP keeps me giving a choice of “block media searches, public, or choose some people that can open my blog.” I want my blog to be password protected. How?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You cannot password protect your entire blog, only set it to private, in which case people will only be able to visit your blog if you invite them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
