    Hi there,

According to the relevant support guide:

We cannot accept checks, cash, purchase or money orders, or any payment that must be mailed, and we cannot accept payment over the phone.

I am afraid that except for all major credit and debit cards your only option is through a PayPal account. For more info, have a look here:

    Payment Methods on WordPress.com

Also, if you need a Staff member reply to your questions in this forum you can add the modlook tag in the Tags section of a thread (right sidebar).

How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question?

    Hope this helps!

If you are referring to purchasing a plan found here https://wordpress.com/pricing/ please read what follows.

The only accepted means of payment are in this support doc.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/payment/

WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/

If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country. Note: You can buy a prepaid credit card from an approved country.

In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

    More about echecks here:
    https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/helpcenter/article/?solutionId=13054&topicID=11500008&m=TCI

NOTE: Payments for WordPress.com subscriptions are recurring you will still need a card connected to your PayPal account, even if you have funds in that account. See also: Payments Using a PayPal Account

    Hi there,

As @timethief mentioned, you can use your PayPal account to pay for an upgrade. Please follow the instructions on our support page here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/payment/#payments-using-a-paypal-account

Let me know if it still doesn’t work for you.

    Thanks!

    Hi indiatourfood2017,

I’ve looked into this and there are some countries that PayPal will not accept payments from. If that country is not supported, you will only see the option to pay using a credit or debit card — which is what is happening in this instance.

We are currently unable to process payments in INR through PayPal but this is something we are actively looking in to at the moment.

We are working to accept INR payments through PayPal. For now, you can continue with the WordPress.com blog as the free version. Once we’re able to accept INR through PayPal you could upgrade then.

    Hi there,

As we have already told you twice in this thread, PayPal is not available as a payment option in India. We can currently only accept debit and credit card payments from that country.

Hi @indiatourfood2017, it’s a great blog you have there, Maybe you could get a friend to use his credit/debit card to help you for now. You’re right -WordPress is the best blogging platform and I’m sure PayPal will be added for India soon, so please don’t give up. Get a friend to help for now.
