  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, my Gravatar account was made in 2012, although this account is deleted, since then I have still see my Gravatar account picture appearing when making comments on other websites. This picture is outdated and made when i was a teenager, but i can’t find a way to delete the gravatar as my wordpress account that i made associated with the gravatar is deleted. I also tried using ‘forgot password’ incase there is another account but i have not been getting any emails when doing this. Please help me I don’t know how else to contact staff about this, Thanks.

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

    Hi there,

To remove your Gravatar image, please visit your Gravatar profile page (https://en.gravatar.com/emails/) and click on the Remove Image link:

Here’s a screenshot link you can refer to:

    Hope this helps! :)

    Hi,

Thank you for helping, but when I click on the link you gave me to remove image, the link asks me to log into WordPress. I only just made an account now to get help, but the account i made in 2012 relating to my Gravatar was deleted. If I try to make a new WordPress account with the email address i used for the Gravatar previously then it says i ‘already have an account’, but when i go to ‘forgot password’ i never get an email to recover password. So there is no way to make a new WordPress account or access the Gravatar account with the email address relating to my Gravatar despite it is the email address that i still use currently (just not what i am logged into now)

Because i can’t log into my WordPress account relating to my Gravatar there is no way i can see for me to progress to the page where i an click ‘remove image’

    Hey @infoemmagination,

You can also check other folders like Promotions or spam in your email for emails regarding password recovery.

Alternatively, you can fill out the WordPress account recovery form, the account recovery team will contact you as soon as possible.
    https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

Please contact Account Recovery Team directly at passwordhelp@wordpress.com if you are unable to fill out the form.

    I hope that helps. :)

    Hey,

I have been checking junk mail and all folders the last two days, I have tried several times. I did do the recovery form yesterday with old username and email both relating to Gravatar but haven’t heard from them yet, but it is still early so I will wait. Thanks for giving me the email, I will use it if I don’t get a response :)

I still haven’t had a response from WordPress, despite sending them a ‘recovery Email forum’ twice and posting on here, why isn’t there a way to contact a human? I haven’t even got confirmation that they will respond to me, or know what to do if they don’t respond?

Just remembered the email, I will send them an email hopefully they will respond to this, thanks.
